There was a time in the SEC when Vandy could only count on wins in Math and Science competitions, but not football. Now they’ve got a team that looks pretty good and coach Bobby Johnson has his brainiacs believing they can beat Auburn this weekend at home. ESPN’s Gameday will be in Nashville, adding more fuel to the fire for Vandy.
As an Auburn fan, I carefully avoid saying anything negative about our team, but honestly, we have a very suspect offensive scheme andafter 5 games into the season, none of us are impressed. We do have a strong defense and that might help us squeak by Vandy, but let me assure you, a sputtering offense won’t do against several upcoming teams, namely Alabama and Georgia.
